This upgrade rider is applicable if you must cancel your covered trip before the departure date or interrupt your covered trip while you are travelling. This is only available for covered trips that have a maximum sum insured of up to $15,000 per person. Both the applicable plan and this rider must be purchased within 7 days of the initial covered trip booking date.
What We Cover
Whenever you or your travelling companion are prevented from taking or completing your covered trip due to an unforeseen event that occurs after the effective date of this upgrade that is not otherwise covered by the policy.
Only 5 Exclusions Apply:
There is no coverage and no benefits will be payable for any claim arising from: Your or your travelling companion's pre-existing condition that was not stable and controlled on the purchase date of the policy.
Coverage is not provided for any claims arising from your or your travelling companion's: heart condition involving the taking of nitroglycerine more than once per week for the relief of angina; lung condition treated with home oxygen or the taking of oral steroids (prednisone or prednisolone)Any event giving rise to a claim which is foreseen at the time of purchasing this insurance; Voluntary cancellation or interruption of travel for any reason, including loss of enjoyment; Fraud, concealment, or deliberate misstatement in relation to any matter affecting this insurance; Participation in a crime, malicious act, riot or insurrection. All Inclusive Canada Plan The All Inclusive Canada Plan is restricted for travel within Canada providing coverage for cancellation, interruption, trip delay, emergency medical, baggage & personal effects, baggage delay, personal money loss, airflight accident and travel accident. Visitors To Canada Emergency Medical PlanTIPS Visitors to Canada Emergency Medical Plan provides coverage for non-residents of Canada visiting Canada or Canadians returning to Canada who do not have a Canadian federal, provincial or territorial government health care plan. Coverage is for emergency hospital & medical, emergency medical evacuation/return home, repatriation of remains and burial at destination. Plan Limits of $50,000 and $100,000 are available for those over 13 days old and under 85 years of age. Plan Limit of $150,000 is available to those over 13 days old and under 70 years of age. Baggage and Personal Effects PlanThe Baggage & Personal Effects Plan provides coverage for baggage & personal effects, baggage delay and passport loss. Airflight Accident PlanThe Airflight Accident Plan provides coverage for accidental death or dismemberment as a result of an injury sustained during the period of coverage while riding as a passenger on a scheduled or chartered air flight operated by a licensed carrier. Coverage includes travel to and from airports on a scheduled helicopter shuttle service connecting with an insured flight. Coverage is also provided on airport premises or when travelling on carrier or airport authorized bus or limousine service. Rental Vehicle Damage ProtectionThe Rental Vehicle Damage Protection Plan provides for up to $50,000 liability coverage for physical loss or damage to a rental vehicle for which the insured may be liable. Bermuda
Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic Ocean, located off the east coast of North America. It is one of the last remains of the once vast British colonial empire in North America. It consists of about 138 islands and islets, with all the major islands aligned on a hook-shaped, but roughly east-west, axis and connected together by road bridges. Despite this complexity, Bermudians usually refer to Bermuda as "the island". Bermuda's pink sand beaches and clear, cerulean blue ocean waters are popular with tourists. Many of Bermuda's hotels are located along the south shore of the island. In addition to its beaches, there are a number of sightseeing attractions. Historic St George's is a designated World Heritage Site. It's most famous visitor attraction is the Royal Naval Dockyard, which includes the Bermuda Maritime Museum. Other attractions include the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, the Botanical Gardens and Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, lighthouses, and the Crystal Caves with stalactites and underground saltwater pools.
Varadero
Varadero is a resort town in the province of Matanzas, Cuba, and one of the largest resort areas in the Caribbean. The place was first used as a dry dock and the salt mines of the peninsula (closed in 1961) supplied most of the Spanish Latin America Fleet since 1587. However, the foundation date of Varadero as city was only on December 5, 1887, when ten families from the city of Cárdenas obtained a permission to build their vacation homes between today's 42nd and 48th Street. Varadero is foremost a tourist resort town, boasting more than 20 km of white sandy beaches. The first tourists visited Varadero as early as the 1870s, and for years it was considered an elite resort. In 1910 the annual rowing regatta was started; five years later the first hotel, named Varadero and later Club Nautico, was built. Tourism grew in the early 1930s as Irénée du Pont, an American millionaire, built his estate on the peninsula. Many famous and infamous people stayed in Varadero, for example Al Capone.
Piraeus
Piraeus is a city in the periphery of Attica, Greece and within the Athens urban area, located 12 km southwest of its center and upon the Saronic Gulf. According to the 2001 census, Piraeus has a population of 175,697 people within its administrative limits, making it the third largest municipality in Greece and the second within the Greek capital following the municipality of Athens. The Piraeus urban area extends beyond the administrative city limits to the suburban municipalities, with a total population of 466,065.
