You Will Love Carnival Freedom’s Multi-Million-Dollar Dry Dock
We are excited to announce that yet another ship in our fleet will receive renovations as part of our $2 billion ship enhancement program. Carnival Freedom will undergo a multi-million-dollar makeover that will add even more fun experiences for you aboard our ship.
Carnival Freedom will dry dock for 3 weeks in Freeport, Bahamas where she will receive a variety of exciting features and Fun Ship 2.0 innovations which include:
- WaterWorks: Featuring a 203-foot-long AquaTunnel slide and Carnival's signature 212-foot-long Twister slide along with a 75-gallon PowerDrencher tipping bucket and SplashZone area for kids.
- Bonsai Express: The success of the full-service Bonsai Sushi restaurants has spawned this casual spot, featuring a mouth-watering array of sushi, sashimi, rolls and more.
- Expanded Retail Spaces: A mall-style shopping area lined with retail outlets offering fine jewelry, watches, fragrances, and more along with the line's own branded spaces including the the all-new Carnival Adventures shop. The new shop offers everything you need to maximize their fun on board and ashore, from snorkel gear and swim fins to sunscreen and waterproof backpacks.
- Mini-Golf Course: A nine-hole miniature golf course has been relocated to Deck 11, providing a fun and relaxing pastime for families to enjoy in the fresh sea air.
- Re-Branded Deli: Located on Deck 9, the newly expanded Deli will offer a tantalizing menu of piled-high sandwiches, paninis and traditional sides.

Belize City
Belize City is the largest city in Belize and was once the capital of the former British Honduras. It is located at the mouth of the Haulover Creek, which is a tributary of the Belize River. The city is the country's principal port and its financial and industrial hub. Several cruise ships drop anchor outside the port and are tended by local citizens. It was also the capital of British Honduras (as Belize was then named) until the government was moved to the new capital of Belmopan in 1970.
Cayman Islands
The Cayman Islands are an island group in the Caribbean Sea, ninety miles south of Cuba. The beautiful coral reefs and outstandingly clear waters have made this island group a favourite destination of divers. Great beaches and fine restaurants and resorts make it an excellent tourist destination as well. It is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom.
Mexico
Mexico is a land of extremes, with high mountains and deep canyons in the center of the country, sweeping deserts in the north, and dense rain forests in the south and east. It is located between the U.S and Central America. Ancient ruins such as Teotihuacan (Aztec) and Chichen Itza (Mayan) are scattered throughout the country, as are Spanish colonial-era towns. In capital Mexico City, upscale shops, renowned museums and gourmet restaurants cater to modern life.
Galveston
Galveston is a coastal city located on Galveston Island in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2005 U.S. Census estimate, the city had a total population of 57,466 within an area of 208 square miles (540 km2). Much of Galveston's modern economy is centered in the tourism, health care, shipping and financial industries. The 84-acre (340,000 m2) University of Texas Medical Branch campus with an enrollment of more than 2,500 students is a major economic force of the city.
