| 1. What is the weather like? | | The weather during a voyage to the Norwegian fjords can vary considerably. The Gulf Stream brings with it a warmth that can lead to surprisingly temperate days, however the cold climate that dominates in this part of the world can quickly change the atmosphere. Sailing in the fjords, you could easily be faced with wind and rain on one day and then sunny skies the next. |

| 2. What should they pack? | | On a voyage to the Norwegian fjords, it’s a good idea to be prepared for mixed weather. During port visits on sunny days, you may find a simple shirt or top and jeans is sufficient, however, later in the day you’ll find a warm sweater, scarf, and thin jacket will be useful. In the summer, it's a good idea to remember sunscreen, sunglasses, and a sun hat. |

| 3. Will you see the Northern Lights? | | It's very possible that you might see the famed Northern Lights during a voyage to the Norwegian fjords, but of course it cannot be guaranteed. If this is a priority for you, consider booking a sailing between October and March, as it's this time of year that the aurora borealis is most likely to be visible. The chances of a sighting increase as they travel north, so a voyage that includes Tromsø, capital of the Arctic, is a sensible choice. |

| 4. What fjords will toy see? | | On a voyage with Cunard, your ship will visit Sognefjord, Ofotfjord, Romsdalsfjord, Lustrafjorden, Innvikfjorden, Nordfjord, or Aurlandsfjord, among others. These are all located in the southwest of the country apart from Ofotfjord, which is found in the north, 120 miles inside the Arctic Circle. | 5. When is the best time to go? | | Deciding when to take a voyage to the Norwegian fjords depends entirely on what kind of experience you are hoping for. To increase your chances of spotting the Northern Lights, winter voyages are best. Or, if your’re looking for warm weather and longer days, June to August are bound to delight. No matter when you travel, rest assured they'll be met with some truly idyllic scenery and staggering fjord views. |
