DAY 1 WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6 DEPART VANCOUVER FOR GLASGOW ON AIR TRANSAT
DAY 2 THURSDAY, JUNE 7 ARRIVAL IN GLASGOW Arrive at Glasgow airport, meet with your driver and guide and transfer to Edinburgh to enjoy the city on your own for the day. The Jury’s Inn Edinburgh on Jeffrey Street is adjacent to the historic Royal Mile and only two minutes walk from the very centre of Edinburgh, Princes Street. The hotel’s Arches Restaurant is popular with residents and locals alike and features a varied menu with an emphasis on local produce. The hotel also has a popular pub style bar. DAY 3 FRIDAY, JUNE 8 SCOTLANDS PEOPLE CENTRE Morning departure for The Scotlands People Centre. The offi cial government resource for family history research houses hundreds of years of Scottish census records. Located in Edinburgh, the centre contains search rooms in General Register House and New Register House. This evening attend The Spirit of Scotland show, a rip roaring evening of traditional Scottish song and dance accompanied by a great selection of quality Scottish food to delight your palate. DAY 4 SATURDAY, JUNE 9 EDINBURGH CASTLE Morning departure for Edinburgh Castle. One of the most famous castles in the world, housing the Scottish Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny. You can also visit the private apartments of Mary Stuart; St Margaret’s Chapel, the oldest building in the city which dates back to the 11th century and the 15th century gun Mons Meg. Overnight, dinner, Scottish breakfast at your hotel.
DAY 5 SUNDAY, JUNE 10 BLAIR CASTLE & HIGHLAND FOLK MUSEUM Morning check-out from your hotel and departure for Blair Castle Blair Castle. A white turreted baronial castle, the traditional seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl, it was the last castle in Scotland to be besieged (1746). The present Duke of Atholl maintains the only private army in Europe, the Atholl Highlanders. Afternoon visit to the Highland Folk Museum, an open air museum, partly housed in an 18th century shooting lodge. The museum features a Black House from Lewis, a clack mill and exhibits of farming equipment. Continue to Inverness, check-in to the Royal Highland Hotel, one of Scotland’s best-loved hotels, The Royal Highland Hotel is situated right in the heart of Inverness. ASH is the à la carte restaurant/bar within the hotel, and the Gallery is a more traditional eatery, both offering fresh local produce. DAY 6 MONDAY, JUNE 11 HIGHLAND DISTILLERY & SHEEPDOG DISPLAY Morning departure for one of the many whisky distilleries which Speyside is famous for. You will enjoy an informative tour describing the traditional whisky making process, from malting the barley to storing the fi nal product in oak casks. You will also enjoy a taste of the fi nal product! Afternoon visit to a Sheepdog Display. Overnight, dinner, Scottish breakfast at your hotel.
DAY 7 TUESDAY, JUNE 12 DUNROBIN CASTLE Morning departure for Dunrobin Castle and Gardens. Set in a great park overlooking the sea, Dunrobin Castle was originally a square keep, built circa 1275 by Robert, Earl of Sutherland, after whom it was named Dun Robin. For centuries this has been the seat of the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland. The present outward appearance results from extensive changes made from 1845 to 1850. DAY 8 WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13 URQUHART CASTLE Morning check-out from your hotel and departure for Urquhart Castle. One of the largest castles in Scotland, overlooking Loch Ness, which fell into decay after 1689 and was blown up in 1692 to prevent it being occupied by Jacobites. Most of the existing remains date from the 16th century and include a tower. Continue to Glasgow, check-in to Point A Hotel Glasgow in fashionable Bath Street, home to some of the best bars in the city, and just minutes from Queen Street Station and Glasgow’s style mile, Buchanan Street. DAY 9 THURSDAY, JUNE 14 STIRLING CASTLE Morning departure for Stirling Castle. One of Scotland’s grandest castles due to its imposing position and impressive architecture, Stirling Castle commands the countryside for many miles around. It towers over some of the most important battlefi elds of Scotland’s past including Stirling Bridge, the site of William Wallace’s victory over the English in 1297, and Bannockburn where Robert the Bruce defeated the same foe in the summer of 1314. DAY 10 FRIDAY, JUNE 15 GLASGOW Free day to explore Glasgow with the possibility of a trip to Edinburgh city centre to revist The Scotlands People Centre. Excursion dependent on number of interested parties, ($).

Edinburgh
The city has long been known as a centre of education, particularly in the fields of medicine, Scots law, the sciences and engineering. The University of Edinburgh, founded in 1583 and now one of four in the city, was placed 17th in the QS World University Rankings in 2013 and 2014. The city is also famous for the Edinburgh International Festival and the Fringe, the latter being the largest annual international arts festival in the world. The city's historical and cultural attractions have made it the second most popular tourist destination in the United Kingdom after London, attracting over one million overseas visitors each year. Historic sites in Edinburgh include Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, the churches of St. Giles, Greyfriars and the Canongate, and the extensive Georgian New Town, built in the 18th century. Edinburgh's Old Town and New Town together are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which has been managed by Edinburgh World Heritage since 1999.
Glasgow
Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and third most populous in the United Kingdom. The city is situated on the River Clyde in the country's west central lowlands. A person from Glasgow is known as a Glaswegian. Glasgow grew from the medieval Bishopric of Glasgow and the later establishment of the University of Glasgow in the 15th century, which subsequently became a major centre of the Scottish Enlightenment in the 18th century. From the 18th century the city also grew as one of Britain's main hubs of transatlantic trade with British North America and the British West Indies.
Scotland
Scotland is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. Occupying the northern third of the island of Great Britain, it shares a border with England to the south and is bounded by the North Sea to the east, the Atlantic Ocean to the north and west, and the North Channel and Irish Sea to the southwest. Glasgow, Scotland's largest city, was once one of the world's leading industrial cities and now lies at the centre of the Greater Glasgow conurbation. Scottish waters consist of a large sector of the North Atlantic and the North Sea, containing the largest oil reserves in the European Union. This has given Aberdeen, the third largest city in Scotland, the title of Europe's oil capital.
