“Sunset Grande - Good first time in Jamaica”
This was my first time in Jamaica and it didn't disappoint me. The beaches were clean and well kept and the food was some of the best that I've ever had in a long time. I think that the overall customer service could be a little better (most workers didn't seem to interact with customers or be curious unless getting a tip) But that being said all issues that came up were resolved fairly quickly. It's was a good place for my honeymoon with my wife
The strong points The food was excellent and there was always plenty of staff to assist you with anything that you needed. The weak points The pool bars were usually unattended and when the staff was there they seemed unwilling to go to the lower pool bar area.

“2 week holiday”
this is the 3rd time we have gone. The resort is lovely. So it was as we expected.
The strong points the hotel offers 5 pools and there are various places to relax. you can have lots of sun, shade, quite, and lively. the resort is beautiful. The weak points Had a problem with the air conditioner leaking on the floor. they were quick to fix.

“Hotel did not provide us a good time”
I had a great time in Jamaica as my family lives there. I am from Canada and have traveled all over the Caribbean. I am not rich but have a decent level of expectation.
The strong points - No room service - No minibar fridge in room - No food in the room ** I brought food anyway - No 24 hour food. Grill closes at 2 AM. During my vacation I am not bound by time. The weak points - They had two very good dine-in restaurants (reservations are hard to get as usual). - Cleaning staff was great! - Gave good amount of alcohol in mixed drinks when asked.

“Lovely resort”
Resort is fun, clean and close to shopping. The staff worked very hard to make our time there very pleasant. I would like to see a small quiet outside garden area where one can sit and get away from the noise and music of the hotel. I loved the coffee station/lounge area in the north tower.
The strong points Friendly, knowledgeable, interesting staff, good variety of dishes at the buffet, lots of activities if you choose to participate, shopping within walking distance. A nice resort and we would definitely return. The weak points Lots of music and noise everywhere. I was looking for a quiet place to rest and knit.

“Rooms Below Standards”
The food was incrediable. Great bar tenders and awesome staff. Our room was in the North Tower. Had a balcony with a view of the dumpster and room is way out dated and in need of a reno. The other couple we were travelling with had a moldy smelling room. Wouldn't recommend taking a room in the North Tower.
The strong points Food and Service was awesome. Great rstaraunts The weak points Rooms in North Tower are terrible

“Should be 3.5 star”
The hotel itself was nice and the staff were awesome. The food was terrible if you like fruits and veggies there was no rotation in the buffet. Rooms were clean, we had issues with the bathtub not draining and the toilet running that were not resolved by the end of our stay.
The strong points The resort had lot to offer with the water slide nice pools and shared areas. The grounds were smaller that made it easy to navigate. You are located in the town shopping outside the gates The weak points Food was terrible no rotation of the buffet, I ended up with food poising and missed a day of the trip. Rooms were small and dated bathroom was a disaster

“MY 6TH TIME IN JAMAICA, SO IM AN EXPERT NOW”
My first time at this resort. What i didnt like; being on the 10th flr, with non stop waiting for elevators to go up and down. Im used to resorts no more than 4 stories high, so i dont use elevators. A fridge in the room that IS NOT STOCKED EVERY, YOU HAVE TO YOURSELF,N.G.Powdered instant coffee in the room, no drip coffee (N.G, Jamaica is known for amazing coffee, coffee in the room was no good). No rack on balcony to hang wet clothes. No room service available free or not (im used to free room service). Terrible desserts, worst ive had in my lifetime, been to thousands of restaurants. Shocked by this, Jamaica is known for its cuisine. The safe in the room comes with a key that costs $100 if you lose it. No key chain. Other hotels use an electronic safe with a code. NOW FOR THE GOOD; good food actually (just not the desserts) The lamb, beef, chicken and fish dishes were pretty good. Friendly and helpful staff, I always tipped the housekeeper, bartenders and servers, i never forgot.Big resort, very clean with nice layout. Our room was clean and everything worked. Cool Hustlers on the beach, very good weed and hash. Conclusion; I guess i got what i paid for at this time of the yr (the resort i usually go to was $450 more a person at this time, that's why i chose Sunset Jamaica Grande. Its fine for the budget but if you can afford better.......
The strong points The Staff, the weather The weak points The desserts, services and amenities that are not offered or not included
