Kenya Explorer Safari

This 9-day Kenyan safari takes you to several nature conservancies throughout the country.

Your Kenya vacation begins in the capital, Nairobi. You might be a little overwhelmed when you first step foot in Nairobi, taken aback by the jungle of concrete high-rises and heavy traffic, but it won’t take you long to attune to the city’s vibrant energy. During your day in the city, take advantage of the incredible food scene in some of the many local restaurants and learn about the country’s history at the Nairobi National Museum.

Leave Nairobi and head to your first nature conservancy, Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is famous for its conservation programs for white and black rhinos (it was home to the world’s last northern white rhino, Sudan, who died March 2018). It’s also the only conservancy in Kenya with a chimpanzee sanctuary. During your time at Ol Pejeta, you’ll stay at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, a 5-star luxury camp that has 39 premium tents with private verandas overlooking the central waterhole where wild animals come to wash and bathe each evening. Spend your time in the conservancy heading on game drives and visiting the chimpanzee sanctuary as well as the rhino centre, where you’ll learn about the efforts to revive extinct rhino species.
