“Not At All What It Used To Be!”

Absolutely terrible check in. Read the reviews about this and the reality was worse than the reviews. Had to be a hundred people in line and 2 open check in tills open. The hotel is really going down hill. It looks like nothing has been renovated since the hotel was built. Pools chairs are taken very early, if you would like to sit on one. Not enough room or chairs for guests to enjoy the pool(Service that you pay $28 a night for) This was our last stay here. There are a lot better hotels for the same price.

Perfect location, nice room, comfortable stay

“Good low priced option”

The Flamingo is a small, older hotel with an excellent location on the Strip. Steps away from the new Link area with it's shops, restaurants and bars lining the path to the "High Roller". Check in was easy. The Front Desk Staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant when we were trying to locate our "rodeo tickets" which were to be delivered by courier to the hotel. Our room had plenty of space, with a king bed, writing table and chair, small lounger, dresser and large screen TV. We lucked out and had a view of the Strip from our window. The room was very clean and looked like it was updated recently. The bed was comfortable. Ironing board and iron were in the closet. Internet was available for a fee, but we didn't use it. There was no charge for the in room safe. Renovations looked like it was started in the bathroom- new floor tiles, but the sink cabinet needed painting and some floor boards were missing. The inside of the bathroom door was split and warped on the bottom from moisture, but the other side had been painted and looked ok. Amenities and towels were refreshed as needed. The hair dryer was the usual "low velocity type" found in most places. It is a good low priced option for Las Vegas.

“Great Time”

Our room at the Flamingo was a go room and was very comfortable, clean and upgraded. House keeping was very unobtrusive. Free wi-fi would be a valuable bonus, especially for Canadian travelers wanting to use their cell phones to check email etc.

The strong points Great location, good cleaning staff, loads of restaurants close by. The weak points Need to pay for internet, even for flight check in and printing boarding passes.

“Filthy Room”

We knew the Flamingo was an older hotel, however we were shocked at how filthy our room was. After reading so many reviews on how the hotel "resolved" these issues by giving a $30.00 meal credit, we checked out on our first day of four and headed over to the Mirage. Yay Mirage! Yuk Flamingo!

“Below expectations”

We were under the impression that this hotel was renovated. The wall paper was lifting off the walls in the bathroom, the dust had not been wiped off bathroom mirror for a very long time, walking down the hallway the dust on room numbers was 2 years thick. Not much for quality control in the housekeeping division. I tried to move hotels but was told they would not accommodate my request. To say the least we will never return.

The strong points The pool area and grounds were very nice The weak points Housekeeping was not good? When requesting a hotel change to an affiliated hotel was flatly refused. Upon check out there was only one clerk on and the lineup was long.

“Great Location”

The hotel was okay. We are used to staying at much nicer places for less (i.e. the Mirage Penthouse Suites). The rooms were renovated but not the bathrooms. The hotel was sold out so we were unable to upgrade. The Habitat elevators were crazy busy. Found out about alternate elevators after check out. Please note the high price we paid was due to long weekend flights not the Flamingo.
