Ahmedabad is the largest city in Gujarat, India. It is the seventh largest city and seventh largest metropolitan area of India, with a city population of approximately 3.96 million and metropolitan population of 5.56 million. Located on the banks of the River Sabarmati, 32 km from the state capital Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad is the fastest growing city of India, and ranked third as the fastest growing city worldwide. Across the river, the Calico Museum of Textiles, once a cloth merchant's mansion, has a significant collection of antique and modern fabrics.

With a rich history dating back over a millennium, Lahore is a main cultural centre of the Punjab region and Pakistan, and is the largest Punjabi city in the world. The city remains an economic, political, transportation, entertainment, and educational hub of Pakistan. The heart of Lahore is the Walled or Inner City, a very densely populated area of about one square kilometre. Founded in legendary times, and a cultural centre for over a thousand years, Lahore has many attractions to keep the tourist busy.

Karachi - the noisy, bustling, ever-growing troubled metropolis of Pakistan, lies on the eastern coast of the Arabian Sea, just northwest of the Indus river delta. The largest city, and unarguably the most important, Karachi was the original capital of the nation. It is the 7th largest urban agglomeration in the world, and the second largest in the Muslim world. It is Pakistan's centre of banking, industry, economic activity and trade and is home to Pakistan's largest corporations, including those involved in textiles, shipping, automotive industry, entertainment, the arts, fashion, advertising, publishing, software development and medical research. The city is a hub of higher education in South Asia and the Muslim world. It is also ranked as a beta world city.

Abu Dhabi, the capital and the second largest city in the United Arab Emirates, lies on a T-shaped island jutting into the Persian Gulf from the central western coast. The city is also one of the most modern cities in the world. Abu Dhabi features large gardens and parks, green boulevards lining all the streets and roads, sophisticated high-rise buildings, international luxury hotel chains and opulent shopping malls.

Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan, located within the federal Islamabad Capital Territory. The city is the political seat of Pakistan and is administered by Capital Development Authority (CDA). Islamabad is located in the Pothohar Plateau in the northeastern part of the country, between Rawalpindi District and the Margalla Hills National Park to the north. The region has historically been a part of the crossroads of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the Margalla Pass acting as the gateway between the two regions. Built during the 1960s to replace Karachi as Pakistan's capital, the city's master-plan divides the city into eight basic zones, including administrative, diplomatic enclave, residential areas, educational sectors, industrial sectors, commercial areas, and rural and green areas. The city is home to Pakistan's National Monument. It is home to the Faisal Mosque, the largest mosque in South Asia and the fourth largest mosque in the world. The city is also home to sixteen recognised universities, including the Quaid-i-Azam University and the National University of Science and Technology.

Hyderabad is the capital of the state Andhra Pradesh, India and is located on the banks of the Musi River and on the Deccan Plateau. As of 2010 it is the sixth most populous city and sixth-most populous urban agglomeration in India. It was founded by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah in 1591 on the banks of Musi. The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad near Hussain Sagar Lake (also known as Tank Bund in local parlance), both cities have grown so much that now they have become the ambit of a single municipal unit, The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.  A city rich with history and tradition, Hyderabad now competes with Bangalore, Chennai for the crown of India's IT capital; Microsoft and Google have their India headquarters here. Hyderabad was historically known as a pearl and diamond trading centre, and it continues to be known as the City of Pearls. Many of the city's traditional bazaars, including Laad Bazaar, Begum Bazaar and Sultan Bazaar, have remained open for centuries.
