Bait to Plate Program

Elegant Hotels Group, Barbados has launched a complimentary "Bait to Plate" excursion for all guests including children over the age of eight, allowing them the opportunity to fish for their supper. Expected to be popular with families and couples, these excursions will take place every Monday and will be available to all those staying at Colony Club.

Led by one of Colony Club's chefs, guests will be taken out on a private boat to spot sea life on the reef; they will be taught about reef conservation and where to catch the best and tastiest fish. The skipper will anchor the boat in the best spots to catch bonito or other local fish and will set the challenge to seize the tastiest catch of the day!

With a maximum of four guests per trip, the excursions have an intimate feel ensuring guests enjoy a truly authentic Bajan fishing experience.

Upon returning to the hotel, the chef's team will fillet and prepare the catch so that families can enjoy a delicious supper of fresh fish, grilled at the table and served Bajan style with salad*, rice, peas and plenty of pepper sauce.
