Very run down, room had termites... Beach not on resort. place needs to be renovated in all aspects. arrived at noon had to wait in lobby until 4:30 pm for room. I have never had this at other resorts in Cuba. First time ... had hotdogs and hamburgers served to me in sandwich bread ....the list can go on.

The strong points people are nice The weak points mostly for singles, alot of prostitues secretly soliciting even though the men were accompanied by girlfriends/wives.

quality/price ratio is good. Food are ok. Bar service are good; service at buffet depends individual server. Reception desk a bit off. Renovation are needed in some area. Swimming pools are good, ground around pools needs to be resurfaced.

“Cuba Feb. 2015”

As this was our 13th trip to this resort there were no surprises. We feel we received fair value for the price paid. The staff and the location keep us coming back.

The strong points the best thing about this resort is the staff! The proximity to town is another plus, as you can be in the heart of Veradero with a 15 minute walk. With the price paid for this trip, we ate at many different good restaurants close to this hotel. The weak points The elevators in our building did not work the entire 2 wks. The rooms although clean are in dire need of upgrading. we have been to this hotel many times and knew what to expect. Overall it was as expected and we will return. try to avoid reading break.

“Staff wonderful - Hotel dying”

We returned to Palma Real and after 12 years we were surprised at how much it had been allowed to deteriorate. We had no hot water for the first five days and had to ask them to open a hospitality suite for a shower, changed rooms and then everyday was a fight about something else. Who serves beef heart or tongue for breakfast? You had to work very hard to find food that was fresh and recognizable. We loved, loved the staff they tried hard to please and there was always the appearance of cleanliness but the mould and broken fixtures just kept adding up. Two weeks was just too much. We were told by more than one staff that the hotel was slated for demolition next year and we believe them. The location was the appeal but it isn't enough unless they do rebuild for us to return.

“Not worth the money!”

Not worth the money, everything went down. I was there 2 years ago and enjoyed my stay. This year it is completely different story. Staff super slow, not interested in guests' satisfaction with very small exceptions, dining room with table cloths washed once a week(if?). So many things to mention that are wrong: very poor service, lack of the elevator(broken), state of disrepair everywhere, dirt, line ups to the bar for 10-15 min, closing doors to the dining room during hours of operation, no snack bar for 24h as advertised. You really have to lower your standards a lot to enjoy your stay. Very important- check if you will be served a free meal during your flight or you have to purchase it. In my opinion it shouldn't be rated 3,5* hotel at the present state, big disappointment!

“Winter 2015 vacation”

I would recommend this hotel / vacation to anyone, just remember that you get what you pay for. The hotel is older, but the staff is awesome. The buffet food is not great, but we managed.
