Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the CenterPoint of Dutch culture. In fact, Amsterdam is one of the Europe‘s major gateways. The country is known for its artistic heritage, canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades. There are 165 canals, 1218 bridges in the city. Amsterdam main attraction

·         The Rijksmuseum: famous for its magnificent collection of Dutch masters. The Rijksmuseum museum is dedicated to arts and history of Amsterdam. Located at museum square borough Amsterdam South.

·         Anne frank house: The Anne Frank House is a writer's house and biographical museum dedicated to Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank. The house was her hiding place during world war, where she hid from Nazis for two years .This building is located on a canal called the Prinsengracht. (https://www.annefrank.org/en/Museum/Practical-infor...

·         Van Gogh Museum: It is famous for its world finest collection of works by Dutch artist. Museum offers exhibitions to guided tours, workshops, children's activities and events. More details visit.( https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/en/whats-on).

·         Walking tour is the other best way to explore Amsterdam. Amsterdam canals are incredibly beautiful. People usually hire a private boat for around 20 euros for an hour to explore the beauty of the city.

·         The Jordaan area is a heavily residential area which is probably the most missed part of Amsterdam. Although it’s right near the city center, hardly any tourists enter this maze of restaurants, cafes, and shops. It’s peaceful and a great place to wander while avoiding the mass of tourists crowding the main streets just a few blocks away. While in the area, be sure to eat at Moeders (traditional Dutch food) and Winkel 43 (apple pie). (https://www.nomadicmatt.com/travel-blogs/three-days...

·         Red Light District: one of the most famous attractions with some stereotypes about these areas which some say are true. There are plenty of sex shops, sex museum and prostitutes in red-lit windows. But the heart of Amsterdam is much more than that. During the day  it’s a quit place and in the night area becomes awash with drunks

·         Bike tour: Amsterdam has more bikes than people. The city loves bikes and the best and cheap way to explore the city. Mike’s Bike Tours is the best company to use, whether for a tour or to rent a bike on your own.

·         Vondelpark: Most popular and largest park in Amsterdam. Great places to walk, relax, and meet local peoples. During summer park is filled with people

Some other sites to see

·          Waterlooplein Flea Market: This open-air market is like a giant flea market, everything and everyone can be found here. People sell secondhand clothes, hats, antiques, gadgets, and much more. You can also find new and unused items. If there’s something you want, you’ll probably find it here.

·         The Amsterdam library : The city’s library is a beautiful modern building built in 2007. It’s gigantic, overlooks the IJ, and has a wonderful top floor cafe for impressive views of the city. It’s one of my favorite to relax in the city. It’s quiet, peaceful, and there’s nothing like reading a good book with a great view

·         Day trip to Haarlem: Just a quick train (or bike) ride from Amsterdam, Harleem is a quiet Dutch town that has a beautiful central church, great outdoor market, and all the beauty of historic Amsterdam with fewer crowds.

Restaurants: One of the must go restaurant is De Kas. A 4.5 star restaurant serving Mediterranean dishes made from organic ingredients grown on-site. De Kas restaurant & nursery is located in a set of greenhouses which date back to 1926 and used to belong to the Amsterdam Municipal Nursery.

     Three-course dinner €49.50.

Every type of traveller will find Amsterdam appealing, except perhaps those exclusively drawn to beach resorts and adventure travel. One possible reason people don’t want to go to Amsterdam because of permissiveness Drugs, prostitution, and pornography are tolerated and in many places legal.
