All inclusive vacations in Nassau Warwick Paradise Island, Comfort Suite & Breezes Bahamas

The Bahamas is a nation of 700 islands of which only approximately 30 are inhabited. It consists of hundreds of cays and thousands of islets. Located in the Atlantic Ocean, the Bahamas lies 50 miles off of the Florida coast and lies in the same island chain as Cuba, Hispaniola, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The Bahamas extends between the two poles of Grand Bahama and Great Inagua. The two main islands are New Providence Island and Grand Bahama Island. The capital city of Nassau is located on New Providence Island with its neighbouring Paradise Island. Two bridges link the two islands. These islands feature many exciting attractions, fine dining, fresh fish markets, boutique shopping, authentic markets, and many water sports. Paradise Island, in particular, features gorgeous beaches, famed hotels and resorts, and large casinos. Grand Bahamas Island is the second most popular vacation destination in the Bahamas. It features clean, compelling white beaches, world-class scuba diving, and a myriad of land and sea sports. It is home to one of the world’s longest underwater limestone cave systems, which is located in Lucayan National Park. It is also home to Gold Rock Beach, the only place where one can see all six of the Bahamas’ ecosystems. In addition to these two beautiful destinations are the many “Out Islands” of the Bahamas that demand exploration and promise truly memorable experiences.

Climate ranges from subtropical to tropical with 320 sunny days per year, the average winter temperature is 21°C and the average summer temperature is 26°C. The Bahamas benefits from near constant trade winds and is moderated by the Gulf Stream, especially in the winter. The supposed rainy season extends from May to November. Potential hurricane activity occurs between the months of June through November. High season falls between mid-December and mid-April.

Characterized by calm waters and cooling trade winds, the Bahamas is truly a sailing paradise. Renowned for sailing regattas and races that are held year-round, the Bahamas is the location where more than 50 international fishing records have been set. Fishing companies, hotels and marinas offer opportunities for fly-fishing, bonefishing, and deep sea fishing expeditions.

The Bahamas is home to an astonishing array and abundance of aquatic life. It boasts more than 5% of the planet’s reef mass making it an ideal location for snorkeling and diving. Shallow reefs teeming with life, deep caves, sharks, and wrecks beckon and astonish divers from around the world. With thousands of miles of shoreline, the Bahamas provides stunning beaches and every opportunity for sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, jet skiing, banana boating, and other water sports including swimming with the dolphins. For land lovers, there are national parks and historical nature trails for hiking, birding, golfing, tennis, and horseback riding, as well as casinos and boutique and authentic market shopping.
