CareFree must be purchased at time of booking. New package bookings only, for travel to Mexico and the Caribbean (excluding the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Martinique, Mexico City and Puerto Rico). Cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions. Not applicable to group bookings.
CareFlex is applicable only to vacations packages to: Cuba (excluding Havana), Dominican Republic, Mexico (excluding Mexico City), Montego Bay, Saint-Lucia, Antigua, Curacao, Grenada, Saint Kitts, Cartagena, Liberia. Must be purchased at the time of the booking. Applicable to new bookings only. CareFlex plans can be used year-round except during the blackout period from December 19 to January 5. CareFlex plans cannot be applied to group bookings, nor to packages at Marival Residences Luxury Resort Nuevo Vallarta, Sandals Resorts, Beaches Resorts and Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts. CareFlex plans are not applicable to bookings made with Aeroplan redemption miles. The CareFlex plan is non refundable.
1Price Drop Guarantee: Get cash back if the price of your package drops after you book. The year-round Price Drop Guarantee must be requested by phone within a period of 5 days after noticing the price drop. Not valid within 21 days of departure. Maximum $200 refund per person. Only applicable to the same package. Must be the same departure date, departure city, room category, meal plan, length of stay, flight and class of service as the original booking to qualify. Space must be available at time of requesting refund. Applies once to a booking. Refund will be processed using the original form of payment existing on file. Processing may require 14 days or more. The year-round Price Drop Guarantee is redeemable on a decrease of the total package price, including taxes.
2StormGuard: Lets you reschedule your booking before a storm becomes a hurricane. Valid on Flight, Hotel & Transfer packages, hotel-only, or flight-only bookings to Mexico and the Caribbean. New bookings only. Applicable only if the US National Hurricane Center declares a tropical storm warning for your destination within 72 hours of your departure. Travel must be completed within the 6 months following the redemption date, and the package value must be the same.
3Changing and transferring your booking: Name changes can be made up until 7 days prior to departure. Changes to departure date, destination, room category or occupancy can be made up until 3 days before departure. Certain types of changes will be considered cancellations and will follow the CareFlex Cancellation Policy. One set of changes per booking can be made without penalty. The set of changes can include more than one change and/or transfer, or a cancellation. Once the CareFlex plan is purchased, changes must be made through the CareFlex plan, without using other Air Canada Vacations change and cancellation methods. Clients will assume any difference in price increase resulting from change(s). No refund is issued if the new price is lower than the original fare. New package must be booked at the time of the date change request and travel must be completed within one year of the initial departure date. CareFlex can be repurchased only at the time the change is made. Changes must be made through your travel agent who will request the change through the Customer Care department.
4Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are permitted up until 3 days prior to departure. The refund method depends on the number of days before the initial departure date: 45 days or more prior to departure, the refund will be made using original form of payment; 44 to 23 days prior to departure, 50% of the total price will be given in in-house credit and 50% will be refunded in original form of payment; 22 days to 3 days prior to departure, 100% of the total price will be given in in-house credit. In case of cancellation, a waiting period of 15 days before rebooking a new vacation applies. In-house credit must be used for travel within one year of the initial departure date, and is neither transferable nor refundable. The CareFlex plan can be repurchased at the same time the new eligible package is booked. Any leftover credit can be used towards an Air Canada Vacations' booking or product (excluding car rentals) until the expiration date. Products must be booked with the same travel agency. Cancellations must be made through your travel agent who will request the change through the Air Canada Vacations' Customer Care department).

Cuba
Cuba, officially the Republic of Cuba, is a sovereign state comprising the islands of Cuba, Isla de la Juventud and several archipelagos in the Caribbean Sea. The capital and largest city Havana. Havana had a large number of shows, events, and casinos catering to tourists. Geographically, Cuba is considered part of North America and culturally, it is considered part of Latin America. The island became a U.S. protectorate in 1898, and in 1902 it gained substantial independence. Between 1902 and 1959, many U.S. citizens lived in Cuba or frequently travelled to Cuba. It is the largest island in the Caribbean, and the second-most populous after Hispaniola, with over 11 million inhabitants. It is a multiethnic country whose people,culture and customs derive from diverse origins, including the aboriginal Taíno and Ciboney peoples, the long period of Spanish colonialism, the introduction of African slaves, and a close relationship with the Soviet Union in the Cold War. Cuba is ranked high in human development by the United Nations, and performs well in health and education. In 2015, it became the first country to eradicate mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis, a milestone hailed by the World Health Organization as "one of the greatest public health achievements possible".
Montego Bay
Montego Bay is the capital of St. James Parish and the second largest city in Jamaica by area and the third by population (after Kingston and Spanish Town). It is a tourist destination with duty free shopping, cruise line terminal and the beaches. The city is backed by picturesque low mountains. Popular beaches include Doctor’s Cave Beach and Walter Fletcher Beach, home to an amusement park. Today, Montego Bay is known for its large regional hospital (Cornwall Regional Hospital), port facilities, second homes for numerous upper class Jamaicans from Kingston as well as North Americans and Europeans, fine restaurants, and shopping opportunities. The coastland near Montego Bay is occupied by numerous tourist resorts, most newly built, some occupying the grounds of old sugarcane plantations with some of the original buildings and mill-works still standing. The most famous is the White Witch's Rose Hall which now features a world-class golf course.
Grenada
Grenada is an island country consisting of Grenada itself and six smaller islands at the southern end of the Grenadines in the southeastern Caribbean Sea. The islands are of volcanic origin with extremely rich soil. Grenada's interior is very mountainous with Mount St. Catherine being the highest at 840 m (2,760 ft). Several small rivers with beautiful waterfalls flow into the sea from these mountains. It is also known as "Island of Spice" because of the production of nutmeg and mace crops of which it is one of the world's largest exporters.
Liberia Country
Liberia, officially the Republic of Liberia, is a country on the West African coast. Liberia, meaning "Land of the Free" in Latin, is bordered by Sierra Leone to its west, Guinea to its north and Ivory Coast to its east. Forests on the coastline are composed mostly of salt-tolerant mangrove trees, while the more sparsely populated inland has forests opening onto a plateau of drier grasslands. The climate is equatorial, with significant rainfall during the May–October rainy season and harsh harmattan winds the remainder of the year. It was an important producer of rubber in the early 20th century. Liberia is the only African republic to have self-proclaimed independence without gaining independence through revolt from any other nation, being Africa's first and oldest republic. The country maintained and kept its independence during the European colonial era.
Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua and Barbuda is a twin-island nation lying between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It consists of two major inhabited islands, Antigua and Barbuda, and a number of smaller islands (including Great Bird, Green, Guinea, Long, Maiden and York Islands). The country is nicknamed "Land of 365 Beaches" due to the many beaches surrounding the land. Positioned where the Atlantic and Caribbean meet, it's known for reef-lined beaches, rain-forests and resorts.
St Lucia
St. Lucia, known for its distinctive mountains, is an island that travellers dream about - a small, lush tropical gem that has volcanic beaches and fishing villages as well as luxurious resorts. The volcanic island of Saint Lucia is more mountainous than most Caribbean islands, and its dramatic twin coastal peaks, the Pitons, form the island's most famous landmark.
Mexico
Mexico is a land of extremes, with high mountains and deep canyons in the center of the country, sweeping deserts in the north, and dense rain forests in the south and east. It is located between the U.S and Central America. Ancient ruins such as Teotihuacan (Aztec) and Chichen Itza (Mayan) are scattered throughout the country, as are Spanish colonial-era towns. In capital Mexico City, upscale shops, renowned museums and gourmet restaurants cater to modern life.
St Kitts and Nevis
Saint Kitts and Nevis are a pair of tropical islands in the Caribbean and the smallest sovereign state in the Americas, in both area and population. The country is a Commonwealth realm, with the British Monarch (currently, Elizabeth II) as its head of state. Saint Kitts and Nevis were among the first islands in the Caribbean to be settled by Europeans. It was home to the first British and French colonies in the Caribbean, and thus has also been titled "The Mother Colony of the West Indies''. The natural aspect is what makes the country remarkable. Many tropical birds which one rarely finds elsewhere are present in great concentration in the nature and there are also the famous monkeys which, it is said, were introduced by the pirates
Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a small, rugged, rainforested Central American country with coastlines on the Caribbean and Pacific. Since the late 1980's Costa Rica became a popular nature travel destination, and its main competitive advantage is its well-established system of national parks and protected areas and home to a rich variety of flora and fauna. Costa Rica is also known for its beaches, volcanoes, immense biodiversity and progressive environmental policies, being the only country to meet all five criteria established to measure environmental sustainability.
Varadero
Varadero is a resort town in the province of Matanzas, Cuba, and one of the largest resort areas in the Caribbean. The place was first used as a dry dock and the salt mines of the peninsula (closed in 1961) supplied most of the Spanish Latin America Fleet since 1587. However, the foundation date of Varadero as city was only on December 5, 1887, when ten families from the city of Cárdenas obtained a permission to build their vacation homes between today's 42nd and 48th Street. Varadero is foremost a tourist resort town, boasting more than 20 km of white sandy beaches. The first tourists visited Varadero as early as the 1870s, and for years it was considered an elite resort. In 1910 the annual rowing regatta was started; five years later the first hotel, named Varadero and later Club Nautico, was built. Tourism grew in the early 1930s as Irénée du Pont, an American millionaire, built his estate on the peninsula. Many famous and infamous people stayed in Varadero, for example Al Capone.
Cancún
Cancún is a coastal city in the popular vacation destination called ''The Mexican Caribbean'', more officially known as the state of Quintana Roo, on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Cancún is the municipal seat of the Benito Juárez municipality and a world-renowned balneario and tourist resort. It is composed of fourteen miles of pristine white beaches shaped like a number "7", home of the Mayan archaeological wonders, turquoise seas, a bountiful underwater world, and world-class vacation amenities. It is still considered the gateway to the Mayan World (El Mundo Maya). Mayan temples and ritual sites are everywhere, some smothered by lush jungle, others easily accessible. The Cancun hotel zone is almost entirely built around the tourist industry. It abounds with all-inclusive resort hotels.
Curacao
Curaçao, formally called the Country of Curaçao, is an Dutch island country in the southern Caribbean Sea, that is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. One of the most notable things about the island is its rich culture. This Dutch island features building styles you'd find in the Netherlands, but painted in wonderful pastel shades. However, the people of the island have developed a culture, and even a language, of their own.
