The latest promotional video from Destination St. John's, highlighting a day in the life of the city, is populated with a cast of the province's most recognizable personalities. Comedian Rick Mercer, actor Allan Hawco, Gen. Rick Hillier, sportscaster Bob Cole and actor-musician Alan Doyle are among those making fleeting, unidentified appearances in the feel-good short. Others include curler Brad Gushue, actress-comedian Mary Walsh, comedian Mark Critch, chef Jeremy Charles and singer Amelia Curran.For the soundtrack, singer-songwriter Brianna Gosse's single “Better in the Clouds'' was selected from hundreds of submissions after Destination St. John's put out a request for new music."The lyrics complement the wink-and-a-nod welcome from some very talented familiar faces," said Rhonda Hutton, the tourism agency's marketing director.Titled "Feeling Up, Up, Up," the video will be used to promote the city online, at trade shows and elsewhere.
