Exploring tastiest pizzerias in Rome
Italy is renowned world over for its pizza. Its popularity has grown so much that nowadays you can find pizza in different parts of the world. However, if you want to want to get an authentic pizza experience, you must visit the eternal city Rome. Let us explore some of the best pizzerias in the city to enjoy tastiest pizza.

Pizzarium

Pizzarium is the most famous pizzaiolo in Rome. It was opened in 2003, and has only grown in popularity with each passing year. Here pizza is prepared using organic stone ground flour, sour dough starter, quality toppings and prolonged leavening. The toppings are changed regularly and can sometimes even be quite creative. Among the tastiest pizza served here are the classics like pizza rossa (with a rich tomato sauce) and pizza alle patate (with potato and mozzarella). It is open daily.

Li Rioni

Li Rioni is famous for serving the best pizza in Rome. You can order for the margherita, mozzarella pie and sausage. These are quite delicious. The thin crust Roman-style pizzas are prepared here every night in a small wood-burning oven situated at the back of the pizzeria. The Li Rioni is located nearby the iconic Colosseum. You can see the locals and tourists arriving in droves and eating pizza until midnight. It is open daily, except on Tuesdays.

Life Pizzeria

Life Pizzeria is the city’s first organic pizzeria, which opened recently in Rome’s northern periphery. It offers a wide selection of pizza and calzones. You will discover many vegan variations, something which is unheard of on Roman menus. Popular vegetarian options here include pizza with onions, courgettes and mozzarella, served with local, seasonal toppings. It is open for dinner only, but closed on Mondays.

Da Remo

Da Remo is a classic Roman pizzeria where you need to arrive before 8 pm or be prepared for a long queue. The crispy thin crust Roman-style pizza scrocchiarella is a major draw here. The flat and crispy pizzas are made in a wood-burning oven, and are undoubtedly quite tastier. You can also look forward to savouring marinara and margherita pies. When visiting Da Remo during summer, you will enjoy outdoor seating. It is open for dinner only, and closed on Sundays.

Antico Forno Roscioli

The Antico Forno Roscioli is a historic bakery situated between Campo de' Fiori and Largo Argentina. Some of Rome’s most-loved and best bread have been prepared by three generations of Rosciolis here. The pizza bianca is quite popular. It is consumed by almost everybody, including grannies, school children, young professionals, tourists and workers. It is closed on Saturday and Sunday afternoons during summer.
