Itinerary Details
Day 1. Hometown - Beijing Today board the flight to Beijing. Enjoy the on Board food, beverage and entertainment.
Day 2. Arrive Beijing We arrive at Beijing, the capital city of China. Greet our local guide in the airport and transfer to our luxury accommodations for a good night's rest.
Day 3. Beijing (AB, L,SD) This morning, you will sight-see Tienanmen Square, which is noted as the largest public square in the world. After that You'll visit Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government. Later stop at a Pearl Factory to gain a little knowledge of fresh pearls. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Optional: Hutong tour with rickshaw & Summer Palace ($59 per person)
Day 4. Beijing (AB, L) The Great Wall of China is one of the seven greatest man-made wonders of the world and is definitely the focal point of China. You will hike along the Great Wall (Juyongguan Pass). After that, you will stop at a Jade Museum to learn the history of Jade. In Chinese, jade is pronounced as 'Yu', and it has a history in China of at least four thousand years, later visit Traditional Chinese Medicine Center and enjoy a foot-massage. Optional: The Golden Mask Dynasty ($50 per person)
Day 5. Beijing-Xi'an (AB, L) by Air Today we continue our journey by flying to Xian, the capital of Shaanxi Province, one of the oldest cities in China. Xian is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China with more than 3100 years of history. The city was known as "Chang'an" before Ming Dynasty. Xian is the eastern terminus of the Silk Road and home to the Terra Cotta Warriors. Upon arrival in Xian, your first stop will be at the Buddhist Jianfu Temple, where the towering Small Wild Goose Pagoda commands panoramic views of the city. Optional:Bicycle Ride on the Ancient City Wall ($29 per person)
Day 6. Xian (AB,L) Today's tour is to witness the famous "Terra Cotta Warriors." The serendipitous discovery of the Terra Cotta Warriors in 1974 has drawn throngs of visitors to Xian each year and ranks as one of the world's most important recent archaeological finds. Three excavation pits have been opened to the public with a fourth underway. Spend some time admiring the fine troops, horses and carriages in battle formation. Next you'll head to the Terracotta Replication Factory that actually re-made terracotta soldiers. After lunch, the motorcoach takes us back inside city limits to visit the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a square built in Tang style as well as the largest fountain square in Asia. Optional tour: Tang Dynasty Dancing Show along with a Dumpling Banquet in the evening. ($50 per person)
Day 7. Xian - Shanghai (AB) by Air Catch an early flight to Shanghai, which boasts the largest population of any city in China. You'll spend some time soaking up the electric energy of the Bund - a riverside avenue showcasing international architecture and the world of high finance before visiting a Silk spinning Museum to learn how artists work with the delicate fabric. In the evening, you may join an optional "Night Cruise on the Huangpu River" (at your own expense - $50) or the thrilling optional Chinese acrobatic show - "ERA - Intersection of Time" (at your own expense - $60).
Day 8. Shanghai (AB) Today is free for leisure or last minutes shopping. Or you can pick one from the following two optional tours: Optional One: the one day tour $85 You'll soak up the more commercial aspects on Old Street, Nanjing Road, the famous Bund. Visit a Silk Spinning Mill where you can doing some shopping. Then step back in time at the Shanghai Museum with more than 120,000 art objects. Our farewell dinner this evening will be a banquet of delicious Shanghai cuisine. Optional Two: the one day Suzhou Tour $99 Today you will be picked up from the hotel at 7:30 AM and transferred to Suzhou, which dates back to 514 BC, is sometimes called the "Venice of the East". The city is famous for its canals and stone bridges. You will visit San Tang Street which has always been regarded as the first name of Suzhou ancient streets. Santang Street has a long history of about 1,100 years, its layout and architecture are best to represent the characteristics of Suzhou's old alleys, and it has connections to many ancient Chinese celebrities and anecdotes. The Lingering Garden is a renowned classical Chinese garden and is recognized with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then take a cruise along the Grand Canal, also called Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal, which is the world's longest ancient canal. Afterwards, driving back to the hotel at Shanghai around 5:30 PM. Day 9. Shanghai - Gateway (AB) All good things must come to an end. Board your return flight back home and bid farewell to China.
