10 Caribbean Destinations Where Travelers Don’t Need to Quarantine. Book your last minute Caribbean vacations, hotels, car rentals, flights and cruise holidays.

As increasing numbers of Caribbean countries open their borders for tourism, questions arise as to the different policies regarding their COVID-19 protocols. Although the lion’s share of destinations requires negative COVID tests prior to arrival, they don’t all require that travelers quarantine.

We’ve compiled a list of 10 countries where quarantining is not required.

Aruba

Requirements: Aruba requires travelers to be tested 12 to 72 prior to flight departure to Aruba. It is required that all travelers take a Molecular SARS-CoV-2 test based on a nasal swab before entering Aruba, except children under age 14, who are exempt.

Anguilla

Requirements: Visitors must pre-register on the Anguilla Tourist Board website and submit negative PCR tests and proof of health/travel insurance policies within three days of arrival. Travelers will be tested upon arrival and again 10 days later.

Belize

Requirements: The country is scheduled to open its border to U.S. travelers on Oct. 1. Travelers must submit an online health questionnaire at least 24 prior to arrival and negative PCR results from tests taken 24 to 72 hours prior to arrival.

Barbados

Requirements: U.S. travelers must take a COVID-19 PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival in order to enter the country Travelers are required to complete an online immigration/customs form, which must be submitted 24 hours prior to travel.

Dominican Republic

Requirements: Travelers no longer need to provide a negative PCR or COVID-19 test upon arrival. Rather, “airports and other ports of entry will administer a quick, aleatory breath test to between 3 percent and 10 percent of passengers, and all those who present symptoms, upon arrival,” according to the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism website.

Jamaica

Requirements: U.S. residents are required to obtain and upload COVID-19 PCR test results and a travel authorization application at least 10 days prior to departure.


Puerto Rico

Requirements: Travelers must complete an online declarations form and arrive with proof of a negative COVID-19 molecular-based test.

Saint Lucia

Requirements: Travelers 5 years and older must have a negative PCR result taken no more than seven days prior to arrival in Saint Lucia. Travelers 18 and older must submit a travel registration form no less than days prior to travel to Saint Lucia.

Saint Maarten

Requirements: Travelers must complete an online health authorization application prior to departure and take an rt-PCR test obtained from a nasopharyngeal swab only 120 hours prior to departure.

Turks and Caicos Islands

Requirements: Travelers must complete an online health authorization application prior to departure and provide proof of a negative COVID test upon arrival.
